This is the full list of subject tags for Papa’s Diary Project as of July 4, 2007. I’ve been making up my tags as I go, so this list may seem a bit inconsistent. Still, I think it’s useful.

Dear Matt,
This is an extraordinary labor of love and devotion that you’ve undertaken, and the product that you are crafting (in the oldest and truest sense of the word) is truly remarkable. I’m a longtime professional historian experienced in, and familiar with, historical documenary editing projects, and yours ranks among the best that I’ve seen, both in terms of its fidelity and integrity, and cutting-edge presentation format. I’m planning to share it with my colleagues as a model of what we should all be aspiring to create–not “scholarly” documentary editions so much as “people’s documentary editions”–of, for, and by “ordinary people” who often accomplish extraordinary things, even while going about the business of day-to-day living.
All the best,
John Rumm
